TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 30th edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition will be launched here in the Iranian capital on April 1, an official said.

Mehdi Aziz Zadeh

Mehdi Aziz Zadeh, who heads the Permanent Secretariat of Iran’s Quran Exhibitions, said the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the international event.

He made the remark at a video-conference meeting of the expo’s managers held on Monday, adding that the 30th exhibition will run for two weeks.

He said the organizing committee is going to enhance the international section of the expo this year in cooperation with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).

That is why numerous sessions have been held with Iranian cultural centers in other countries for talks on this issue, Aziz Zadeh stated.

He further noted that “I Read You” has been selected as the motto of this year’s exhibition, which highlights the importance of continually reading the Holy Quran.

The official also said different sections of this year’s expo have been designed with a main focus being on family, adding that there will be a special section for teenagers and another one for girls and women.

There are also plans for greater participation of provinces at the expo, with a special section dedicated to showcasing their Quranic accomplishments and introducing various Ramadan traditions in each province, he went on to say.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.

In 2020 the expo was called off and in 2021 it was held virtually due to the coronavirus restrictions in the country.

After the pandemic eased, the Quranic event was held in person again in April 2022 with the motto of “Quran, Book of Hope and Calm”.
